Siege of Polotsk




The Siege of Polotsk (August 1579) was a siege by Polish-Lithuanian army on the Russian held city of Polotsk. Stefan Bathory was commander of Polish-Lithuanian troops and Ivan IV (Ivan the Terrible) was tsar and commander of Russian army. Polotsk was heavily fortified and had three fortresses. However after sanguinary battle it was captured.

All the figures made by hand from porcelain and hand painted.

Smallest figure height 17 cm (7 in), biggest one 20 cm (8 in)

It is 66 cm (26 in) length and width , 5 cm (2 in) height.
